Well 'Arry what did you make of this one?
Well you know obviously, the boys done good, Coventry taught Chelsea a lesson last week and it's good to know we can compete with the likes of those teams that we 'ave to compete with.
Coventry competed well, looked especially strong in the first fifteen minutes Dave Beasant 'ad to make some good saves early doors from Huckerby & Dublin, but we 'ad our chances, a lovely run through the middle by Stoney and a great ball through to Bonalair with 'im forcing a stinging save from the Coventry keeper and I'm pleased for 'im the boy's done good at right back and he deserves it.
Darcheville 'ad a good game, you know he's still settlin' but we've 'igh 'opes for the lad and he's done well, 'ad a good shot just over in the first half and worked 'ard for the team.
Gemmill and Thomas did well in the middle and you know, obviously, I'm pleased for them both. Scot very nearly scored midway through the first half with a great shot that rebounded off the post onto the goalies legs and Geoff but the ball through for Stoney's goal on 52 minutes. It's good to see Stoney getting about and showing us the player he used to be, it was a great finish and I'm pleased, obviously.
Hodges of course had put a great pass over to Thomas in the first place and I'm pleased for 'im also. Little Craig Armstrong also, obviously he was a force at the back, Dublin & Huckerby rarely got away from 'im.
I've really got to save special praise for Dave Beasant though and I'm pleased for 'im obviously. He was superb today, making top class saves from all over, especially in injury time, he was outstanding, obviously, man of the match for me.
We won then 'Arry?
(The words of 'Arry Basset were made up by someone else...obviously.)
